Fortress Gold Group Company History

Fortress Gold Group has started its operations in 1995. Business was incorporated in 2007. It has been located in Sherman Oaks, California since 2011. According to their BBB listing, the company also has alternate business names like Market Holdings Inc., and Figure Eight Enterprises.

In addition to being a member of the American Numismatic Association and the Industry Council for Tangible Assets, Fortress Gold Group is an authorized dealer of Numismatic Guaranty Corporation and the Professional Coin Graders Service. The company promoted themselves as a specialist in the controversial Home Storage IRA conversions and many IRAs seem to be invested in proof coin sets. Fortress Gold Group ranked No. 113 on the exclusive Inc. 500 list of “The Fastest-Growing Private Companies” in the United States. Edmund C. Moy, former 38th Director of the US Mint, joined Fortress Gold Group as chief strategist in September, 2014.

From 1995 to 2015 the focus of FGG was precious metals and traditional metal IRA business. The company according to clients seemed to then switch to LLC and Home Storage IRAs. It has also been mentioned that the company and its subsidiaries over the last couple of years are also involved in business lending, real estate and cryptocurrency.

Since the beginning of 2019 the focus on precious metals has ended as clients have reported the company is unreachable, phone messages and emails are not returned. Their videos on YouTube are unavailable. Fortress Gold Group is not a BBB accredited business any more.
